Why do you cull due to large combs?

Large Combs are prone to Frostbite. Also not exactly a fan of really large combs, or wattles.

I would cull if they were mine, or at least dub the rooster for frostbite prevention if I want certain traits of the rooster passed on like color, pattern, Shank color, body shape etc..
