Black toes

One of our 6 chickens has several toes turning black. This is a photo of the worst one although you can see a small toe on the right side of the image having the same issue. She doesn’t move around much but she is eating like normal and doesn’t have other signs of health issues. Definitely favoring her foot so she usually lays down.
It’s not frostbite. I’m in Texas and it hasn’t been below freezing since she has been alive.
Any ideas what is going on and what we can do? We have been spraying it to prevent infection.
Any help would be appreciated

Search the Emergencies Forum for "Broken Toe turned Black." The post calls it a chicken's natural reaction to a damaged toe. Good Luck!
 
Looks like it was damaged somehow, maybe got stepped on or caught it in a door?
Likely the toe will finally fall off. Until then, just keep watch on it and tend to it like you've been doing.
