It is not a good idea to buy eggs and hatch yourself when it comes to parrots and such. Handfeeding is very time consuming and any breeder worth anything will not sell eggs to anyone without years of experience. Handfeeding a parrot(which budgies are part of) is around the clock care. You can get a friendly parent raised bird as long as they have been socialized. Handfeeding parrots is different then other animals.
