Blastocystis

I have at least 2 chickens that have tested positive in fecal for blastocystis? Has anyone used anything natural to treat in place of antibiotic. I don't have a vet nearby that treats chickens.

Have you used this drug in your chickens? My chickens have Blastocystis sp and the side effects of Flagyl/Metronidazole concern me, as some are molting and another has had EYP and has an implant very underweight.

i ordered metronidozole online. i used it and saw poor side effects on the bird i was worried about so i pulled it. a new fecal at a different lab didn't detect blastocystis. there were no casualties. it is a zootonic disease i believe. I didn't order from this shop, but have ordered other items and they were helpful, knowledgable. maybe call them and ask thier opinion.
