BLAZING FIRE (A Dragon RP) #2

"Oh! Uh....hi Spyder!" Shimmer said cheerfully. Axel looked up at Spyder. "Oh yeah, it's delicious!" he chirped.

She turned to Max. "I think I'm good for now, but Axel might want to." Axel heard 'hunting,' and his head whipped around to Max. "YAY! But wait, who's gonna go with us? We need an adult, remember?" Shimmer thought for a moment. "Maybe Angel can go with you. Angel?" She called. Angel crept around the edge of the clearing and came up to the others. "Yes?" She said. "Hey!" Shimmer responded. "Is it okay with you if you accompany Axel and Max on their hunting trip?" "Uh, sure!" Angel said in an abnormally high-pitched voice, wincing at her failed attempt at trying not to be socially awkward. So much for that, Angel thought. "Great!" Shimmer responded. "Just make sure not to go east, I think that's where I got captured, somewhere around there. What about you, Spyder? You wanna join them or stay here?"
Spyder smiled at axel and the group," I think I'll sit this hunt out." He responded kindly, flexing his wings and flicking his tail from side to side. " Shimmer, would you like to go to the lake with me?! I have to gather fresh water for the queens hatchlings, she doesn't want to risk taking them there at this age. " He asked with a grin

Angel! Great you could come! I herd your a excellent hunter! I know we’ve not met before, so hi! I’m Max!
"Hello, Max." Angel said quietly, nodding her thanks for the compliment. "Now, let's get going. Follow me, I know a place that usually has a lot of fat rabbits and deer." She motioned for Axel and Max to follow her, and led them into the forest.

"I would love to join you," Shimmer replied, a smile spreading across her face and filling with excitement. "See you later Angel! Have fun, boys!" She called over her shoulder to the other three dragons as they left. Her focus returned to Spyder. "Well, I guess it's just us then," she smirked at him. "What do you say we have a good old-fashioned race to the lake?" Shimmer flapped her wings once and paced around a few steps, eyes never straying away from his.

So where is this “Fat rabbit” place? Max said growing curious and hungry.

"It's about a mile south from here. Wait, hold on a second...." Angel went silent, and her tail twitched slightly. "I hear something." Sure enough, a doe and two fawns emerged from the thick vegetation, grazing in a small patch of grass. Axel went to lunge forward at them, but Angel quickly stopped him, placing a single wing in front of him. "It's not worth it," she whispered. "How come?" Axel questioned. "You see, that doe has two fawns, who depend on the doe to keep them fed and safe. If you kill the doe, you're technically killing all three of them, because the fawns can't survive on their own. It wouldn't be worth it, because those fawns will grow up and have more fawns, and those fawns will grow up and have more fawns, it goes on and on. You kill the fawns, you decrease the number of fawns born in the next generations exponentially. Besides, they don't have much meat on them anyway," Angel explained. Axel pondered this idea. "Now that I think about it, that kinda does make sense." His stomach growled. Angel gave Axel and Max a sideways glance. "C'mon, let's go to the place with the rabbits." She led them deeper into the woods.

Spyder chuckled softly, his smile only growing bigger," your on" he challenged. He picked up two tortoise shells sealed with leather and in one leap he was off into the air, spreading his four wings to catch the wind at the best angel.

"Wait up!" Shimmer laughed and soared into the sky behind Spyder. Gradually gaining speed, she flew up beside him, matching the flapping of her wings to his briefly. She flapped her wings a few more times and managed to get her snout barely an inch ahead of his, giggling mischeviously the entire time.

Spyder grinned, flapping hard. He almost pressed his wings together, which would have given him more speed, but decided he'd make it fair. " Your fast. But not fast enough!" He said with a laugh

"Oh really?" Shimmer questioned, still in a frenzy of giggles. "Are you going easy on me? I wanna see how fast you can truly go." She tucked her wings in and let her momentum carry her at a slight downward angle until she was parallel with the top of the tree canopy, then then spread her wings once more and began gliding along the treetops.

Spyder shrugged," alright. You asked for it" he said happily. He pressed his wings together, forming what looked like one massive pair of wings and soaring into the clouds before diving toward the lake.
