Shimmer looked up at Spyder and nuzzled him back. "Yeah, I'm fine. I've just....kinda always wondered what it was like to be a mother....ever since I was a hatchling myself, I could picture me with kids of my own, playing with them, providing for them-- and by that I mean actually having the capability to hunt decently for them--" She chuckled. "It just seems that every time I walk into this section of the cave the back of my mind reverts back to that..." she trailed off. "That's why I don't usually come in here with the hatchlings unless it's needed."

Spyder smiled warmly, his black eyes seeming very bright for once.
" I'm sure you'll get a chance one day..." He started softly," and I think you'd be a great one too" he said kindly. Swishing his tail from side to side and grinning happily. " Now let's find those hatchlings" Spyder said, looking around at the hatchlings and trying to differentiate them from the alphas two young.

"Thanks babe." She glanced around, and just as she was about to see midnight, she turned to Spyder. "Wait, I can call you that, right? It's okay if you don't want me to--"

"Ah. Very good." Scarlet nodded approvingly. She checked the food pile to make sure it was still decently full before following Shimmer and Spyder into the cave.

(They're Ember and Star! Midnight's wing was killed by humans. No problem, though! :D)

"Okay," Shimmer grinned at him. She kept looking around and eventually spotted Star in the corner, but she wasn't sure at first. "Is that Star?" She asked, gesturing toward the hatchling.
