Bleeding crown & now sick looking (eyes closed/sitting)

Yesterday, my chicken cut the tip of her crown on the hutch. It bled over her face. I cleaned it up and put on anti-septic ointment.

She was a bit quiet yesterday in the yard, sitting more than usual and not as interested in food. She is quiet today too, sleeping in the nesting box. Is this normal after being cut? Or is there something else wrong? We only have 3 chickens and they are all being nice to her, not pecking.

Any advice?? Should I take her to the vet or do anything else?

Do you have any pictures? Usually a comb wound would not cause her to slow down, although it can be painful. Have you offered some water, electrolytes, or some soft food or egg? Check her droppings for any diarrhea. Look her over for any lice or mites.

She seems to be more lively today. Walking around the garden. She usually eats things with lots of energy and works hard for her food. She has a cross beak and is definitely smaller than the other 2 hens. She sometimes has mites, but has been dust bathing a lot now that it is drier out.

What type of soft foods do you recommend. I put some water on her food to mush it up and she didn't really eat it. But I added a little yogurt and then she ate most of it.

Not sure about her droppings. All the chickens seem to be somewhat watery after ranging in the garden all day.

Oops, I meant to explain that she hasn't been eat food that she normally really likes, like meal worms.

Do you have a commercial chicken feed in your area? I usually add water to that, and alternate cooked egg, tuna, or canned cat food when one is sick or not eating. Having a cross beak makes it more difficult to eat. Providing the moistened food in a deep bowl may be something that you could do. Beaks may be filed down slightly or trimmed with dog nail clippers.

Yes I have commercial chicken feed. She seems to like the food with water added now! Definitely loves the eggs. She seems to be doing much better today! Thank you so much for all your help! So appreciated.
