I saw this a few minutes ago in a chick that hatched about half hour ago, then took the picture cause she’s peeping like she’s in pain right now. What do I do?

I would try to get the shell loose with warm water or saline, and put some Betadine (Walmart has Equate First Aid Solution in the bandaid aisle cheap.) You could also use alcohol or Hibiclens. I am not an expert on baby chicks but that may be an unabsorbed egg sac, and those chicks may not do well.

It is important to get the umbilical stump to dry up quickly because the chicks can develop infection. Sometimes they are already infected (mushy chick disease.) Many die within the first day or two, but I hope it makes it. Let us know how the chick gets along.
