Hi Folks, hate to jump in with bad news, but here goes: I am from Virginia and have just discovered blister beetles on my tomatoes. I am carefully hand-picking with gloves donned, but wanted to warn anyone who free-ranges their chickens near the garden like me, that the NIH has released information that consumption of blister beetles has been found to be fatal to young chickens. So watch your girls with these creepy crawlers! Unfortunately I found a website that recommends feeding them to chickens!!

Hello and welcome to BYC! Sorry, I can't help you. I'm pretty new at chicken raising. Just stopping by to say hello.
