When I went to go check on my flock this morning, I noticed there was a strange blister on my rooster’s comb. He is a 6 month old Rhode Island, he seem to be acting normal. He is the only rooster in my flock and also the only one with these blisters. The black bits on the tips on his comb have been there for a while, so i’m not as concerned.

Looks like scabbing, probably from hens picking at his comb. You can either leave it alone and watch to see if it heals on it's own or dot it with BluKote.
Sometimes hens will continue to pick at sores making them worse, so if that happens, removing him from the girls until it heals may be needed.

Thank you so much! I’ll be sure to keep a close eye on him!
