Okay so I have a chick with some sort of blistering on her back. she's in with 19 other chicks and NONE of the other chicks have this problem. She is 4 weeks old, and the brooder is cleaned weekly.

I don't have a clue what it could be. They are about 1/4-1/2 inch in diameter, and raised up like a wart. They look like they are reddish inside. Maybe a blood blister? But they are ONLY on her back. I don't know what it could be. Maybe if they were huddling and she got cut by the other chick's claws??? She seems to like to tunnel under the other chicks.

Any idea what would cause a wartlike/blistery thing on a chicks back??? ANYthing would be helpful. I looked through my ENTIRE chicken health handbook and I haven't got a clue.

Raised 100s of chicks and this is completely new to me.

Hmmm, nobody answering you. I have no idea, but a picture would really help and then I am almost positive you will get some help. Wish I could be more helpful. Good luck!
