Bloated 10 yr old pygmy goat - She passed :(

Yes, loud gurgling
yes, cud chewing
YES, APPEARS TO BE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE - labored breathing, gruntingEar orientation appears normal - haven't checked if they feel cold

Is it possible she's pregnant?

Those sound like early labor signs

I printed out a pretty good, well-written article on the topic. Kind of sounds like a possibility. Says the goat should be sedated (I guess so it's relaxed enough to allow the stomachs to flop around/change position). Thanks for the tip!

Sedation is one of those things that are nice, but in this case not really necessary. Meaning rolling the goat might help. You won't know unless you try. Chances are you don't have the means to sedate the goat on hand, but you do have the means to roll it. So just roll it. Besides, goats don't always react well to sedation.

She passed Sunday morning.

She was so uncomfortable - I wish we could have either helped her or had her put down earlier. Sometimes it's just so hard to know when to do what. I feel like crap.
