Blocks of Ice on HOT days

It’s been REALLY hot up here in Northern California lately, over 100 degrees the past few days.... On the days that get well into the 90’s I’ve been putting a big block of ice in my run and my chickens LOVE it. Some of my chicks like to lay or stand on it, while others seem to enjoy just laying nearby it. Anyone else do this?

Wow great idea I’m going to make some for my girls I’ve been adding ice to their water too but this heat is unbearable! I’m in Santa Cruz Mountains.

Yeppers, I use shallow pans tho.
Electrolytes once a week help too.
