The chick hatched fine but then I came back to see that the cardboard under all the other eggs was bloody. The chick is chirping and moving around. I’m not sure if a egg fragment cut it or something.

do you know if he was bleeding when he was coming out of the egg, or did it start when he was already out of the egg.

is he attached to his egg?
No it wasn’t attached to the egg, there was a little red spot on the back of it by it’s behind. I saw some clear red liquid leak onto a fragment but it’s was then fine. I left for awhile and saw that. I removed the egg shell after making sure it wasn’t connected.

Bloody navels are easy to treat. I just apply pressure to the area till it stops bleeding, & apply Triple Antibiotic ointment afterwards.
It doesn’t seem like there is any new blood and I think I can see where the chick was bleeding from. It looks weak and tired but it’s still moving around. I’m not sure if it’s from blood loss or it’s just tired from hatching.

Probably tired. I don't think it lost enough blood to be weakened.

Ok, I don’t think I need to assist it in any way. I don’t think I should either cause others are hatching too. Just a little scary to see blood stream on the ground.
I was scared the first time I had this happen. They just hatch alittle early, they don't let the blood absorb into them from their umbilical cord, & bleed abit due to it. You want to always see a white, or light pink umbilical cord when they hatch.

Yes I saw a white almost glob of stuff in the egg shell. It might’ve hatched a little early like you said although it is day 21. The others have just pipped with one taking it’s time to unzip.

The glob is wastes(Poop). The umbilical cord looks like a string.

Some may take longer then others, some hatch faster then others.
