She's a New Hampshire. (Good guess though...)
To hatch her I set up a little shoe box that was safe enough for a living creature.
No stickers or sharp edges. With a little towel...(No strings)...And a thermometer.
I took a trouble light and safely attached it to the shoe box.
I placed the egg that officially had it's first pip in the center of the box.
Watching and watching... I decided to wait till the next day to watch.
I woke up, chirping but no new developments except a new crack in the center.
Checking a lot, waiting, waiting... I even skipped dinner due to the new cracks!
My Mom was watching the egg with me when my Dad went to get a different light...
(A regular heat lamp)... BAM! The shell feel off as the wet yellow chicken fell out onto her back!
She was precious. That is step by step! I also set up a very small shallow glass jar-thing of water with little rocks at the bottom for it.
I gave her food the next day...
There ya go! So, I think you are looking to incubate like this more often?!?!
I have videos but unless I put them on you tube I can't post.
I will
try to find some pictures though.
I have to go for dinner now, bye!
I hope my info had helped!
