Blood in poo w/links from searching

On the advice of my Better-half, I also put the warming pad thingy in its upper holes to sit just aboveand next to the lil tyke and Oreos tail as they were already nestled down.... So as it heats up I think it will notice it if it needs it and the siblings & momma aren't helping keep it warm enough...

Sad update... Midnight checkup be fore bed.... Little tyke had passed away. Oreo is still doing fine all the rest of the hatchlings seemed to of kept the little one warm as it was still very warm as I picked it up outta the nest.

Dang it. Things like this seem to come in 3's & the little one was #3. (Deep sigh) I hope that's enough for the remainder of 2020, and beyond.

I will be stay, very resolute in the proper use of the Corid regardless. I'm not taking this for granted or pushing my luck.

Good night y'all.

Morning update, "Oreo" seems her usual perkiness & no other chicks or adults show any difference. Will stay on the severe watering regiment for the next 5-7 days to stay safe. Will be checking on the "Oreo poop" status in another hour or so... Will update sometime after lunch.

After lunch update:

Kiddos discovered 1 or 2 of the older girls ("Silvia" a RIR & "Quail" a bantam salt n pepper colored hen) might have a little blood in her poop so we them both a couple drops straight to the beak and they were totally accepting of the drink. Everyone else seems fine still.

After dinner update..... (Heavy sigh) I'm afraid we may loose another one over night. "Chippy" she is the 'chipped beak' Brahma [we have 2 white feather foot big girls]. She was asleep on the floor while all the girls are up on the roosting rail and/or laying in the PZD. She has always been a little lighter weight then her twin but, never weak or lethargic all these months - to my awareness. However the kiddos told me she has been napping more the last few days???? So now, I'm beginning to feel very much like I'm second guessing myself.

Can you please post some photos of the poop and of the chick that is not well?
What dosage of Corid are you using?
In the morning I will look for poop for specimen photos. To refresh what I said in post #1, I was hunting for threads with pictures others had shared in their "blood in poop" threads to compare to what I had seen in our coop/run.

***** Main reason?
Our DSL connection has been so horrendous the last 4 weeks now that uploading even small pics is a crap shoot.... Yes I have had some rare occurrence to upload big pics randomly then seconds later upload is nearly zero data rate.

As of now it is technically Thursday because it's 12:17 AM and this situation has put me in rescue mode for 48+ hrs.
Tuesday early afternoon kiddos came to tell me one of the hens had bloody poop.
I inspected then went right to searching in BYC. Then found the thread with what med to get & recommend dosages from the containers.... As well as wisdom from folks as they struggled through this fast moving parasitic issue.
There was also advice in a seperate thread about giving a drop or two directly in the beak for a metaphorical "booster shot" if I may use such a term.

Given the dilution of the med in Liquid form - it seemed logical that such a "booster shot" was reasonable and mostly sane.

Sadly, the "8 wk old chickie" who was the runt of that batch passed away Tuesday before midnight; then the sexlink who was in a crate solo had passed before sunrise the next morning. And now this Brahma that went before midnight tonight..... I'm feeling very down & worried I may need to find a "Vet" that does post mortem or at least do a/some tests for this ugly & fast bug?

I tried several times to get out there to take pics of the wierd poo but, kept getting distracted by Kiddos, Better-half, and then the severe T-storms that brought 40+mph winds.

I can describe some of the day 2, 3 & 4 poo that was dropped by "Oreo" who was the 1st to poop blood. The blood faded away by day 3 of medicine. Day 2-4 would be wierdly black and kinda tar-like looking. As she was in with the silkies & their hatchlings this was a "full sized bird poop" and not the current chickie poop sizes.

Sorry about this.
