I found a bloody stool yesterday. I have 8 ,16 week pullets and 5, yr old pullets.
They have been altogether in chicken house for last month. We put down fresh straw in run when they moved in. I cleaned out bloody stool yesterday. Changed water pots to pan so babes would not roost on them and poop in water(probably were cocci came in). Got Corid today and it is for calves and is a 16 floz to 100 gal dilution for treatment of calves. How would you apply this to chickens?

How long should I treat for and how long throw out the eggs? Can you cook the eggs and feed back to chickens?

Should I restraw run to further reduce expposure?

Young pullets were eating some of the layena.. I was feeding them several times a day separetelyIin the chicken house their medicated starter. I traded it all out yesterday for a basic chicken food and supplementing with scratch and then oyster shell for the yr olds.
Also gave yogurt and ACV and do so regularly. Everyone looks fine at this point. Have only found bloody stool in chicken house last 2 mornings were babies sleep. Thanks for you help.

What is the percentage of the corid? if its 9.6% use 1~2 tablespoon per gallon of water. and yes you can cook the eggs and give them to the chickens, its very good for them!
