Blood on egg

My hen who was born this spring layed two eggs and one had what looks like blood on the bottom I haven’t checked for cuts on the vent yet (a territorial hen got out and I’m putting some messed up sparrows out of their misery because she jacked them up) but I will in a minute.

Oh that is normally not a problem. It is pretty common in new laying pullets! Their vents are just starting to get used to laying eggs.

There were mites on her and I treated her they are almost impossible to get rid of I’ve used medicated mite stuff and DE like ten times and they don’t go away
