Blood on egg!?

Is it normal to have a small amount of what looks like blood on an egg?

It happens sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes, it happens. Don't worry about it unless it's an extremely large ammount

of blood. Theres lots of veins that can easily be broken during laying egg, and

is harmless.

We had more in the beginning of laying than we do now. The girls are a year old and we almost never see the blood.

Younger hens on their first few layings will bleed a little.
