Blood on just laid egg shell (pic attached)

    Is this something to worry about? The just over year old RIRs appear to be in good health. I searched here and nothing really came up like what I am inquiring about.

    It doesn't happen often (at least not in our flocks) but it does happen and it's ok. If you see eggs daily that have blood on them then it may be something to look into

    i've had maybe 2 eggs like that out of 9 months of eggs, so it happens, just not often.
    she may just have strained more, hurried or needs more water

    i agree to just keep an eye out for regularity, but usually its nothing :thumbsup
