blood ring or blind

thank you yorkshire. I am feeding them flock raiser and tid bits here and there. today they got hot dog , that they wouldnt taste, cabbage and veggie soup. LOL I usually dont give them that much but it was time to clean the fridge out. oh, and some dried meal worms and corn. I am still able to pick grass for them as well but not today . too cold . long day as well.

Mine would never turn up their beaks at hotdog! In fact, I think they'd probably take my arm off to get the hotdog pieces if I didn't throw them fast enough!

They LOVE them.

LOL, thats cute. it was a first hot dog for them so they just dont know what they are i guess. they were angus all beef too ! picky chicky. I just bought a scale and on day 10 i weighed one and it was 19 grams. This is my first seramas but i would say they are on the small side. but i dont know how much weight they lost already.

I just did a quick google search and found this:

"As the body size of the serama varies vastly from A to C class weights as does the egg size. Most larger A class birds lay small eggs which usually prove to be viable, B class birds can be productive breeders with C class birds usually laying the most eggs which in general are the largest and usually have higher hatch rates.Tiny A class birds often fail to lay or lay eggs too small to prove viable, however this is not always the case, as I personally have had excellent results from females weighing as little as 235gramms. The same can be said of males as particularly small males are often infertile. "

Found it on this page http://www.malaysianseramabantams.com/incubationhatching.htm
I also found this thread that might have some useful info for you. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/104381/incubating-serama-eggs-pics-of-my-new-babies-pg-7/30

I never thought to weigh her, I will do it tomorrow. I am fighting hard to keep my eyes open now. haha long day. breeder said a small A size for her. he is fine because the eggs are trying.

I must feel better, I slept all day. just now went out to take care of the chickens. 5 frozen eggs, one cracked. can you still use them for deviled eggs? the babys are in the house and i am a little scared. they dont act like any baby i have had before. they came out of the shell hungry. day one and they are trying to fly, jumping up on the base of the food dish. (i dont have the bottle screwed on.) they chase my hand and are very playful. wing feathers, LONG legs. and of course that tell tail sigh of the chipmunk stripe and eye liner which means my bantam phoenix is a stinker ! they are LF hens and they were with the swedish flower roo. or so i thought.

I candled the last of the seramas and they are still alive but its not time yet. I put them in the new incubator with a new turner at a lower temp. i am sure it has nothing to do with it but felt like i needed to do something.
