blood ring or blind

Oh god granny yes! But I hope things are not driving you to drink. In pain = pop a pill. I hope you are feeling better soon. Try not to do too much all at once. Can't you get the kids to help you with some jobs now they are closer? Rustle up something quick and have a sit down

LOL, microwaves are awesome !!! hahahaa dinner done, no dishes. kids cant make it over in this snow. I know its my foot i had operated on causing me to stumble and fall. its not healed yet. he gave me a yr. to heal up.

Riverman, do you have problems with humidity? Its probably my hydro. time will tell i guess.
No, pretty much stays the same on the ones I have a meter in. Granny, I do not even have a humidity meter in some of my incubators. Humidity is important but I feel "some" worry about it Too Much. I set my cabinet incubator up 8 months ago---once I determined how much water surface I needed----I just use the same pan/container. I read alot of post where their humidity was to low so they added more water, then it went to high and they done this or that. Mine might go up or down----I just do not worry about it.

thanks riverman. I have some special eggs lost in the mail. humidity 16% I do think the fan dried up a whole pan of water in a day. house is very dry too. bought a humidifier , no change.

Granny, if you Know for sure your humidity meter is close accurate(make sure before you go into this next step)then the only thing I feel you can do is set it and the humidifier up in a smaller room---bathroom, or just make a room/tent out of plastic---example---using a old bigger patio table or any type plastic table---set it in a room in your home---putting down something on the floor to absorb the moisture----sit the incubator on something---close to one side under the table so you can get to it easy. Put the humidifier towards the other side ---drape plastic over the table down to the floor. Cut a couple vent holes in the plastic----let them run for a few hours---if the humidity is to high, cut a couple more vent holes in the plastic till you get the humidity in the range you want. Good Luck

the salt test, I just did it, I didnt read how it works but my question is, If it raises the humidity in the container to 75 then why cant we just sprinkle some in the bator at lockdown?

there not on the top, they are on each side.

I'm fixing to put eggs in tomorrow. My brand new digital little giant gas vent holes on top about size of sharpie marker then tiny holes on bottom 4 or 5 the size of pencil lead??

You are not an idiot granny!! I too don't know the answer to your question LOL I don't know at all how these salt test things work I have not read up on them. I need written down step by step instructions for most things.

Anyways have you got it sorted and eggs in yet? How about them other polish cross ones? Have you had a sneak peak :hide

LOL, did i tell you i put more mixed polish in my old bator? because i dont remember when they went in but they are veining. 11 mixed polish and one serama from my pr. they keep veining on top of the egg, where the air sac should be. its been doing that since i got the turner. when they were on their sides hand rolling them the veins started on the side. my new bator has nothing in it. eggs still havent moved. they probably will not be good if i do get them.
