blood ring or blind

They are waiting for each other!! That's what it is, our eggs are telepathic and are going to start hatching together :gig
Good luck with yours granny I hope you have a good hatch :fl
Are you using the new incubator for these? If so how's it running?

I'm just about caught up on things now, it's been a funny old day. I do still need to get the guinea pig cage out of the garage though good thing it's only a 2 minute job to get it set up.

Keep us posted on any action you have with your eggs :highfive:

5.30 am here just got up and I have pips :yesss:
4 polish have pipped and a Ginny egg already! I thought her eggs would be last as they are larger but no one has got a pip.

How about you any action yet?

I have two hatched :jumpy
One of the Ginny eggs is out and it's weird no top hat as such!! Other Ginny egg pipped and one of the polish has just hatched :clap I missed both just been to do the horses I knew this would happen.
Will get some pics soon.

I have four out now :weee The Ginny chick is drying well now it looks a dark brown colour! How do you get a brown colour from a white hen and silver lace roo?
I'm not good on genetics and colours etc but this just seems weird, oh and also it's a giant compared to the polish.

She is an Amber link the is her
700

This is the roo
700

And this giant brown chick in the middle is the offspring
700

Amber links have all kinds of color genetics behind them. Leghorns carry a dominant white gene that can cover up all sorts of colors. So when you bred her to your Frizzle rooster, you unlocked all sorts of color gene combinations!

Thanks granny, sorry about yours :hugs Is there no movement in them?

I have 13 hatched just moved 10 to the brooder, 3 left in incubator drying had to finish the zip for one of them the membrane was tough as old boots and had gone tan. As soon as I got through it it burst out of the egg!! It's throwing its self around the bator now. 4 pips and the last egg nothing.
The other Ginny egg has hatched and it's more pale than the first. It has a white beak so totally different to the first brown one.
