I have the 28th marked on the eggs so day 12. they are still kicking. long way to go yet. too early to tell on the newer ones yet. couple things i have done different. I lowered the temp by .5 and i turned the eggs once a day in the turner. dry hatch. extra eggs in there. the 3 LF eggs i put in with them are progressing as well. BUT again the serama eggs look a bit cloudy ?

thank you both, I am not holding my breath. too many deaths to suit me. the other 3? I have in there will be it for a while. I am glad she went broody . break time. LOL the rooster is not really letting her do her job.

Anyone? I hatched a rhodebar chick 5 days ago at 3 days he quit eating and drinking and sleeps all the time? He WAS the most robust and active one! What should I do?

Alisan, I had no luck with mine. it lasted 6 days with me trying to feed it. I hope someone can help you .

Anyone? I hatched a rhodebar chick 5 days ago at 3 days he quit eating and drinking and sleeps all the time? He WAS the most robust and active one! What should I do?

The only thing I can suggest is vitamins and maybe probiotics in the water. You could try coaxing it to eat with some mashed up boiled egg yolk. Have you tried posting in the injury and illness forum? There might be someone there who could give you a better idea of what could be going on if you post all the symptoms you've seen in it. I hope you can figure it out and get it better.

day 14 still kicking

they havent made it this far before. 4 serama and 2 LF and the three serama , 3 LF put in on the 7th is all spiders including a polish egg Only thing i noticed was the air cell looked a bit large for day 14 (dry) so i did go ahead and add water to one channel. it seemed like 17 day air cells. I am already wishing i hadnt put any in because i am afraid i will mess them up.

If the air cells looked too large, you were right to put in water. You won't mess them up.

If you think they are too large I would not worry about adding the water they will be locked down at day 18 with humidity up so they should be fine.
