Good thankyou! I too got up too early at 4am. Our son didn't get up till 7.30am so was a long time to wait for pressie opening. Needless to say with the festivities of the day I had to take a nap at 5.30pm.

whats the matter with kids these days? when i was little I was always up by 4 if i went to sleep at all. LOL kidding of course. I only remember one present . A tipsy turney doll on a wire that did somersaults ! it was the coolest ever ! haaaha if the polish hatches i will ask my friend to get a picture for me. I dont do them she does. never have figured that part out.

LOL I know!! He was so excited he couldn't get to sleep and finally dropped of at 2am! It wouldn't be so bad but he's 13 on Monday so does not do the believing in Santa anymore. He asked for a PS4 so was super giddy but now with all the hacking of Sony he can't even get online to speak to his mates.

ahh, the lizard squad. yup, missing my babysitter as well. hahaa and my boy is 21 but he is autistic . that is pretty crappy what they did. I have Christmas on the eve now. no more of this waking me up !

the brown egg hatched. Looks just like the other 3. also had a bit of yellow at the butt area. looks like yolk but umbilical was fine. it was so big in a matter of maybe a min. it was on its feet standing with the back half of the shell still attached ! these guys are super chicks. its like they hatch half grown

all the serama egg went to the crows today. the brown egg baby is doing great, the polish dont seem to be quite ready. looks like it might be getting ready to do an internal pip . working against the inner membrane any way. It is marked on the egg a day younger then the others. the 8th. so its more on track then the others were. so this is day 19. and the brown one hatched today on day 20. the temps have to be good if just a hair high.

Hope the polish hatch ok for you too. My polish usually hatch day 20 so you may have some action soon. I've found when you do a mixed set of eggs together the larger eggs always seem like Giants when they first hatch. My last batch I did, I had 1 orpington x wyandotte egg that made it to lockdown along with 10 polish eggs. After watching 10 polish hatch the orp x egg was last and it was a huge giant compared to the little polish chicks how it managed to fit in the egg I will never know

i dislike waiting. I am hoping the mama is the candy corn and daddy the swedish flower but is there any way I would be able to tell right away? I have a gold laced as well

Patience granny Patience !!! I'm not sure how to tell I'm not that good with colours etc. Especially with a mixed breed I'm not sure if that would make a difference too.
