blood ring or blind

next hatch. LOL last hatch far as i know. I have more of the polish mix and superchicks in with the 8 serama eggs sent from MT. my husband bought me a book today from TSC it is titled Hatching and Brooding your own chicks. gonna be a good read. last one still not out yet. funny, I done even like black chickens. A room for incubating sounds nice. I am gonna have to dwell on that for a bit.

last one out. I did an assist. it is very large, crammed in the egg so tight it couldnt move. WOW !!

I need help ASAP! Just opened an egg that was chirping that I was fixing to dispose of as it hadn't hatched after 23rd day. Its got wry neck and I want to try and save the little thing. Its a serama

Have you had a case before? I have and you need to be 100% committed to it and then they may not make a recovery or have a relapse. You will need to water and feed the chick as often as you can. I used a syringe so I could get one drop of water on the end of it and then place it near the beak while supporting the head it shoukd get the hang of it. Adding vitamins to the water too depending where you are I think polyvisol is what you need. As for feeding I found sitting on chair with it on my knee was best holding its head up with the bowl in front so it can peck in it. It will have some head movements while doing this but wait till it stops is best don't force its neck. Keeping it confined also is best watching birds with wry neck can be quite disturbing they really have no control and usually when they hear you they start more. Don't have water in with it they could easily drown because of lack of control. As often as possible with water and feed they become dehydrated quick.

With time and commitment they can sometimes make it. Wishing you the very best of luck and I hope you can save this chick :hugs
