Alisan, I probably could look it up but don't have time-----what Kind of incubator were you using?

Granny I got 2 new incubators the little giant with the built in thermometer/hygrometer. I had secondary thermometer going it was a remote wireless a curate with alarm. BUT I wasn't home for 4 days towards end of hatch since my daughter went into labor. I got home in time to set everything for lock down but nothing started hatching til 23rd day. I got 4 seramas but lost the one 3 d'uccles serama crosses and 1 polish out of all those eggs???

Oh and those 7 that hatched were in my OLDER incubator but still only had 7 of 20 hatch in that one. I had 3 bators going at once. The last hatch yesterday I got 5 of 24?? What the heck? I'm VERY frustrated

really hard to say since you wernt home, could of lost power for a while, humidity mat be off. have you checked the eggs to make sure they are fertile ?

Hope I'm not jinxing things I've got my brooder box out of the garage and cleaned this morning. In the house now, warming through as we have had some chilly nights just lately below freezing and only about 3 celsius during the day.

you mean you get to put yours away ? LOL today is lockdown for me. woke up freezing this am. my son turned the heat off last night. he was hot . bless his heart. we all froze all night. bet the bator didnt keep up either.

Yes I get to put it away!! Maybe not now though. Having my own eggs to put in the bator there will be no stopping me. I have a guinea pig cage in the house for them so after a week or so they then go out into garage with heat lamp in a pen. My last lot though I sold before they made it to the garage. And I've had enquiries about these already and they having even hatched!!

Hope your bator kept going ok with no heat on keep warm

thats what i do as well. couple weeks though . they stay because i like watching them much better then tv.

i like that a lot. I have a big bird cage I use for the house. not so good. I had to use clear tape on both sides at the bottom to keep them in. once they are a few days then they cant escape.
