Ooh!! Lockdown later today for my eggs

Also new problem now, the silver lace frizzle roo Snowy is escaping from his pen at bedtime to hunt down the blue splash roo Bash and attack him!! Has done it the last two evenings. Any thoughts why he has decided to start doing this? The new pen is just about finished can't wait to get them moved out of the way and hope he stops escaping. Thankfully I have been out when this has happened and got in there and grabbed him. He only escapes at bed time not during the day.

Can you fix the Problem area of your pen----where he can not escape or clip the feathers on one wing---if he is flying over the top?

Problem solved new pen is up right over the other side so they are completely away from each other now. Getting some new scissors for the wing clipping as the two white crested blacks can fly over too!! Also have some netting I can put over the top to keep them in.

that is nice ! great job. all i can say about your roo is boys will be boys. lol the fact that he is smart enough to wait for the right time to attack is kind of cool though. smart chicken. I have the same little pre-fab coop as you . the stained one , except mine dont have the side nesting box.

Thanks granny! Other half was very helpfull this morning and made a start on finishing the panels while I went to do the horse so by the time I got back just needed putting together and coop moving in.

The little stained coop in the bottom pic is my little chicken jail!! Snowy nearly ended up in it. Never thought of it like that, him being clever and waiting for the right time to pounce. Bash is much more settled now old snowball is at the other side of the garden.

Just for the brooder shed now!! Will get some pics of the chicks for you. Three weeks today they are and are proper little dinosaurs. Having a bit of an ugly stage now.
