They are like gold lace but with white bits on, one is a bit darker than the other more on the black side but still with the brown gold lace :idunno

I suppose that's what you get with crossing mixed colours. Adds to the variety of life.

I want some polish SO BAD!! I incubated 6 eggs but only got one hen

That's the trouble with incubating "The Roos" if you can take care of the Roos ie move them on or the pot give it another whirl you may get more girls next time. I've been lucky so far and managed to rehome the Roos but I do have a friend who will have them for the pot and he would do the business too. I would feel safe in the knowledge that they have had a good life, been well fed and cared for and the end would be quick.

I have seen a many mean roos that i would gladly crunch my teeth into but not one of yours yorkshire ! they are just too beautiful.

. still no eggs today. 10th day for some of them. I cant get humidity in the new incubator. 16% is what it is staying. I filled a chip and dip plate full of water and it went to 20% for an hour. bought a humidifier set it next to the bator with no change. not sure where to go from here. it was even raining . it works in the other old incubator. I have some more polish mix in the old one. expecting nothing from there . just thought i would give it one more shot before i toss it out. hope every ones day is on track and going well.

there are 2 vent holes. at least the size of a quarter if not bigger. one close to where the fan pulls air in and the other on the opposite end but not directly across. off set from it. as far as the hydro, what i have is a battery operated accu-? shows temp and humidity.

Size of a quarter? Darnnnn! In my opinion........ You need to partially cover those holes, both holes should be no larger than a pencil. Are there ventilation holes on the bottom or sides?

Do you have another hygrometer you can use for comparison?

OK, in order for there to be efficient ventilation, both vent holes can't be on the top. There has to be cross ventilation. Or your chicks will probably suffocate sometime around the end of incubation. We need to get this figured out BEFORE you put your new eggs in.
