blood ring or blind

Good morning!
400
My silkie is weak I have home some pedialyte do u know how much and how often

Here is a link for a thread on pedialyte, I hope it helps good luck with your chick ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/175328/using-pedialyte-for-chicks

Don't forget after hatch they are very tired any way and can seem lethargic. Hatching is hard and they need time to rest and often sleep a lot. How long has the chick been hatched now? It may not want water straight away as it will probably still have yolk reserves.

Now I have three that haven't made a lot of progress after pip 24 hrs ago

@granny hatchet How are things? All good I hope? Are you feeling better now. What about those kids how are they all doing? Have sold some more chicks yesterday, 12 of them went so I have 13 left in the shed right now. Shed looking a little weird now with only half of them left in. But with those gone and only these left to sell I will be able to set more again :yesss:

LOL Yorkshire, do you know how many you have hatched ? how about in this year? So far I cant find a dr. that will see me once they learn about what happened with the other surgeon. and they ask so i have to tell them. other then that all is ok. someone supposed to be coming over friday with a candy corn polish rooster for me. 30 dollars. yicks ! they will trade a serama hen for it if i want though. I might do that. its only 8 weeks old. not sure where i can put him til he gets some size. my rooster is very nice. hope yo have a great day and get busy collecting those eggs !

Must be pushing 100 nearly? :idunno Candy corn roo sounds great! I've been thinking about Bash the blue splash roo I have and the fact that all chicks from his girls eggs are blue. The blue is very dominant and that's the only colour chicks from them. I may try to swop him for something else so the chicks would at least be a different colour. Not sure yet though what to do.
Colours and genetics are really not my thing so now I'm wishing I had done a little more research into it before getting him. I would really like to add tolbunt and crele to my flock. Love the colours of them.

They are still laying quite well, getting between 7 and 10 eggs per day from the 10 polish hens. And Ginny very rarely misses a day with laying so if I've not sold these chicks by the time they are 3 weeks old I will set eggs again then. That way the shed will be ready for them when they hatch. If I get them sold sooner all the better, eggs can go in the incubator earlier :hide

Hope your able to find a Dr that will see you. Things are a little different over here as in healthcare I think? You get what you are given unless you want to go private (They charge you a fortune for that) plus the waiting lists are horrendous. By the way it's the same doctors most of the time that do NHS and the private work. It's just if you pay you get it quicker. It's amazing how waving a big fat cheque at them you can jump the queue. We had a friend who was waiting to have stents put in his arteries. Was on the waiting lists for ages and he kept telling them he was getting worse and sicker. But to no avail needless to say he had a massive heart attack and died before he even got an appointment. It was crappy when he died like with him saying I told you I was ill. We got him a bench on the village green as he was a pub landlord in the village, with a plaque saying " I told you I was ill "

Anyways hope your having a good day. Have you got any eggs been sat on or in the incubator?
