blood ring or blind

They look great :thumbsup I would just not know where to start with building something like that. I just have the Brinsea octagon advance 20 but can get 28 polish in there. Brinsea have brought out a new cabinet this year a counter top one that can do a hundred eggs I believe, really like the look of it but I think it would be just going to far for my backyard flock. The garden is already full of various chicken pens, brooding shed and coops and runs. Maybe when/if we get moved to somewhere bigger I will invest.

The last egg did not hatch so I had 26/27 hatch. Had to cull one yesterday though, well the other half did it for me. Was the last to hatch and was weak and slow compared to all the others. Couldn't get it to eat or drink and it went down hill fast so he put it out of its misery for me. Other than that others are good and out in the shed and loving all the extra space. Boy was the guinea cage full with 26 in there!!

Little hen still sitting too, day 8 for her and she seems to be doing ok :fl

Great hatch yorkshire ! Its been too long since i hatched any but i have too many now. with the bird flu no one wants to take any around here. went to drs. today. he is sending me to 2 more.

hope all is ok with you yorkshire. took 2 days but i got my grass mowed . what a job ! bought 4 bags of pine shavings for one coop/run and it didnt make a dent . Need about 6 more. I think the rain is gone for a while now so it should dry out on its own.

I'm good thanks :thumbsup I would be be even happier if the Internet was working right :he

I've been the same with a hedge we have that Ive been cutting. Same as your grass it seems!! Took me three days in all to get it cut and cleaned up. Glad the hedge is only a once a year job. Shame it's not like that with mowing the lawn.

The shavings never go as far as you think, you must have some right rain if it's that wet. Weather here not been too bad for now. Nice, warm and sunny for here anyway. Hope it all does dry up ok.
Have been to the new Drs yet?

Chicks doing ok, been a bit hot for them in the shed today it soaks the sun up really well and holds the heat in there.

Little hen still sitting, I did kick her off the nest today to eat and drink as she was making no effort to do so. Getting grumpier by the day but has not pecked me yet. She Wolfed some lettuce down and enjoyed it. She feels a little thin and looks wobbly on her legs and she only about half way.

is the hen by herself ? if so, give her some dry crumble next to her. they will eat that way. the first picture of the little blace one with a spot of white on the side of the head is cute. well they all are but i think thats my favorite. glad your ok. yard work used to be fun. not so much anymore. Had another big storm this am. LOL yard is flooded, shavings floating every where.

Yeah she is by herself in a coop and run. Will try the crumble for her. Once she had got over the paddy of being moved she was ok. At first she just sat down and tucked her head in when I put her near the food and water. She got up in the end though. She seems to look different as in, well I'm not sure really!! Looks like her beak is sticking out more and her crest looks different. She's also plucked some breast feathers out too. To be quite honest she looks blooming shabby!!

A flood, oh that is pants. That's a lot of rain for you. We might have a shower tonight apparently according to the forecast. They say things like that when they don't really know. It seems one extreme to another for you there.

beak and comb looking different is weight loss. plucking feathers completely normal. for the moisture to reach the eggs from her skin. Isnt it wonderful how they know ?? grandkids are washing their own mouths out with soap for punishment.

It is amazing how they know!! I tell you I'm more worried with this broody hen lark than the incubator. She is one of my fav birds as she is so friendly, I'm not keen on this whole personality change thing I tell you.

Kids going Monday :woot Oh no that's sounds awful doesn't it? I'm sure your ready for the break though and a bit of quiet!!
What have they done now for the soap?

it is amazing . Im sure she will go back to the way she was when she is done. the kids were smart mouthing me. telling me what they were and werent going to do. I picked one up and and took him outside. he has a few words for me and ended up having his own mouth washed out. lol

Go granny go!! Seems like you keep them in check, Monday not far away now for you and some quiet. When we were kids we had both Grandmas look after us and Dads mum you could get away with most things but Mums Mum you could not, she was very strict with us and you did what she said!! Oh my and she used to make us eat liver :sick I still hate it to this day!!

Sold 4 chicks today to a lovely lady and she was even kind enough to email me some pics once she got them home. She was really nice just my kind of person. It does make feel better when they go to a nice a home. Her set up looks good so I've got fingers crossed for het that she has girls.

Got a heat wave apparently heading our way next week  Might get to 38 Celsius!!
