blood ring or blind

congrats on the sale. very nice of her to let you know how they are. I am normally the cookies and milk kind of nana LOL not gonna take lip from them though. I dont know what 38 Celsius is but it dont sound hot to me. hahaaa We had a nice cool day today. in the 60s I went to the farm clubs tractor pull today. almost got stuck in the parade. ate more then anything else. did find a tackle box . ready to go catch some fish now.

Sounds a good day at the tractor pull. Going fishing, sounds good. I havnt been for a long time. Always fished when I was a kid and then Charlie and his Dad did too but they are more into the shooting and guns now.

Weather forecast for 90's Fahrenheit and I'm not looking forward to it at all. 60's sounds better. Will have to be up early doors if I want to ride next week. Will just be too hot during the day.

Little chicks will be cooking in the shed so no lamp for them I think.

90s is terrible ! i would unplug them too. maybe on at night. thats what i did a couple weeks ago. shoot, dont need anyone to go fishing with, just grab a pole. I sure dont like guns. son has bb/pellet gun thats as far as i allow.

Yes will def have to turn off during the day. To be quite honest I'm dreading it and what about my little broody hen? Those will not be nice for her either.

I'm not a big gun fan either but they do it all right. They go to a clay shooting school near us and only on land they have permission on. To get all the licences and such you have to have lots of checks from the police. They even get Drs reports and the such. Then they come and snoop round your house to check gun cabinets and safes etc.

For me I would rather Charlie learn to be safe and responsible with them now at the age he is. Something for him to take seriously. And it gets him out of the house and in some fresh air for a change. They are getting their young pheasant and partridge soon to rear for their little local shoot.

I dont have anything against people owning guns and shooting their food or for sport, ect... I was traumatized by the use of one . its just a personal preference to not have them in the house. I have, and know how to shoot myself. just not something i want around my son. he was 19-20 dont remember before he got his first bb gun. LOL I have to keep reminding myself he is not his father. I feel for your broody, thats pretty warm but remember the eggs need to be 99 degrees so i am sure she will be fine. If it last maybe some cold water a few times a day? I wet the coop down but i dont really think it helped that much. Made me feel better is all.

I'm cooking and so are my birds!! Been horrid today with the warm. We are just so not used to it over here is England. Have had the hose pipe in the runs for the birds to walk through and what not. They quite enjoyed too! Even in the shade it's warm. Not had the lamp on at all today for the chicks. Been coop painting of all days and putting a new run together. Got a bit burnt on my arms so that will teach me. Will be getting the sun block out for tomorrow, as it's going to be even warmer. Little broody hen has coped better than I thought she would. Made sure she got off twice today though for some extra water and food. She is on day 16 now so do I still kick her off after day 18 or not? Some days she is not coming down for food etc untill I kick her off. I'm not sure what to do with her?

Charlie not a happy bunny today!! Had to go to the orthodontist about his braces. He's got to have 2 teeth out, which I'm dreading for him already!! Then a spacer thing in the roof of his mouth to stop the back teeth moving forward anymore with some bands on or something. Then he's got to have train tracks on top and bottom. Hope he's not planning on going through any metal detectors any time soon!! Been trying to tell him it's best to get them straightened now while he's young rather than regretting it when he's an adult.

How did the move go? All good I hope? If so I bet your enjoying the peace and quiet.

not good. my dh has had a stroke i believe. he is doing better now though . very tired. not much sleep last night. You be careful in that heat. lots of water and breaks. I would leave the broody be. for "lockdown" They are smart enough to get water before its too late. wouldnt hurt to spray her while she is on the eggs. might help them hatch faster. I have done this. just a light mist ...

Oh no granny :hugs That is not good, I hope he gets well soon. Our brother in law had one a few months ago and it knocked him for 6. He hot to the hospital quick though and they got him sorted. He worked really hard on pysio and pushed himself hard and he's just gone back to work.

Hope your DH is recovered soon and well again.

Been even hotter today, just beyond the joke really. Lots of sunblock on and plenty to drink. Birds just been too hot I've done my best to keep them cool and they have made it through the day. Just cooling off a bit now but still humid. Got the coop and run done and installed next to the other. Have ordered another grey cover as they fit better than the tarpaulin one I have on the other. Didn't realise it came with a cover as the first one did not.

I just love those pink coops. Mine are very large buildings . with lofts. wonder what bright color i could get by with. I have brought dh home. his heart threw a clot causing the stroke. speech and understanding is effected. i have a mama and 1 baby running around my coop. so very cute. your house ? is very tall. Love looking at new places.

How about purple? That is my fav colour. I have lots of Harry's horse stuff in purple. Buckets, Haynets, brushes and the like all purple. Also not too bright bit just enough. Great to hear you got DH home, better than being stuck in hospital. Hope he's on the road to recovery.

Congrats on the Mama and baby, bet they look suoer cute. I'm hoping and my fingers are crossed for my little hen at the weekend. After all this I hope she does hatch something from these eggs!! Even if she just has one chick and looks after it I will be a happy bunny :bun Then again who knows what kind of mother she will be? She might reject it or them I just don't know. For all I know she may not even see them with the crest she has. This is her when she as younger ~

How's she meant to see chicks through that lot!!

Ah the house in the pic is my neighbours. Its the old railway station house. Very nice house over three levels but not enough garden for me. Our house is built in what was the railway yard.
