My chicks are slowing down in the cold weather but these are some of the eggs, Extra Large to small. And any of them will get these blood spots at any time. Ive been very happy with the outcome for bing new to raising them as our first 6 ( Buff Ophingtons and Wyandotte ) were killed by raccoons at the old house and these 6 mixed of ( Cinnimon, Speckled sussex, Plymoth Rock, Maran, Leghorn and Australorp ) have done really well since. My wife wants some Americanas for the color variety and I want to get some more Buff Orphingtons and others for the larger sized eggs and a variety of birds as well. Since we hand raise them from chicks over the winter they all seem to get along very well with no bullying or fighting. Neighbors have a rooster that crows all day and I think I will get one as well to help protect the flock that will be free ranging as our neighbors chickens come over here a lot to visit ours ( so I throw a bit of feed and bread out for them as well as some scraps so they dont dig around the run.
