Blood Spots in Fertilized Eggs

I have two roosters and seven hens in my flock. My hens recently started laying eggs, and I've noticed "blood spots" in the eggs. My question is, are these blood spots in my eggs because they're fertilized? Can I still sell fertilized eggs? Is there a way I can prevent from getting these blood spots in my eggs? Thank you for your help.

No, it has nothing to do with the egg being fertilized. Blood and meat spots happen, regardless of fertility. You don't see them in grocery store eggs, because the eggs are candled and removed if they contain blood/meat spots.

What causes the blood/meat spot I ran into an egg that had alot in it.

I looked it up, and a blood/meat spot doesn't mean it's fertilized. It's a common misconception that blood/spots mean it's fertilized. In chicken's early laying days, they may experence several blood spots. Although, this will stop after a week or so. Although it's not very appetizing, it is safe to eat fertilized eggs.
