Blood tinged oral secretions

I’m stumped.
This morning I noticed an area on the poop board that looked strange. I have a camera so I know which chicken it came from and that it likely had to come from her mouth from the direction she sleeps on the roost.

It looks like blood tinged oral secretions. I put some peroxide on it and it bubbled up so pretty sure it is blood.

The only symptom I noticed in her is she was shaking her head but I don’t see any nasal or eye drainage, no sneezing, no cough. Her crop feels ok, droppings normal, eating/drinking ok.

The only thing I can think of is that it’s the beginning of a respiratory infection?

Anyone else ever see or hear about something like this?

Peroxide will foam up on just about anything.

I'd look inside her beak for any cuts, evidence of dried blood or lesions.
Check her crop to see that it's emptying overnight.

Do you note any signs of respiratory illness like wheezing, sneezing, coughing, bubbles in the eyes, mucous from the nostrils, facial swelling, etc.?

Thanks for the response!

Couldn’t see anything in her mouth. Crop feels ok. I brought her in for a while so I could watch her, she gobbled up mealworms and hard boiled eggs.

The only thing she’s doing is the very occasional head shake, but not seeing any nasal discharge, bubbles, cough, wheezing, etc.

Back outside she was behaving normally, scratching, dust bathing so I take that as good sign!

I gave her some colloidal silver and put some vetrx on her just in case it’s the beginning of a respiratory infection.

This morning, no signs of any secretions overnight. I’ll keep watching her closely.
Thanks :)
