My EE has been laying an egg a day since last week when I got her. She skipped yesterday, and today's egg is all bloody. It is only slightly larger than her other eggs, which IMO were on the smaller side, so this one is like a normal size egg. Poor girl must have burst an O-ring. Will she be ok? Ive never had this much blood on an egg. Only one side is bloody, the other side is clean....

I have a hen that lays eggs like that...she is a RIR though. She only lays eggs every 3-4 days, and each time they will be bloody. She acts fine, and it doesn't seem to bother her. I am convinced that she has hemrroids but I don't know.

Sometimes bloody eggs happen. That one is a little more than usual bloody egg. Check her vent to be sure she isn't actively bleeding (don't want anyone to start pecking her - so remove her if she is). If not she should be OK, just keep an eye on her.

I have light Sussex, they are young and sometimes one will have blood on the egg, they act normal and everything

As long as the bright red could be obstruction like hemrriods when dark red serious internal bleeding and will usually die within hours
