Bloody egg?

Hello,
We only have hens no rooster. We cracked open an egg and and it was bloody. What is this from? Thanks

It's a blood vessel or a piece of tissue from the hens oviduct. If you use the search function you will find a million posts about it

Small rupture in a blood vessel in the oviduct while egg was forming, causing some blood to leak into the developing egg. Perfectly safe to eat.

Never mind I did a search and found other with the same topic. Broken blood vessel. The dog got a treat LOL
