bloody egg?

One of my Dad's chickens layed a bloody egg today. He said thaid it had a shell but that there was a good bit of blood on the outside. Any thoughts?

Glitches in the egg making machinery is more common in new layers till they get everything worked out.

These chickens are over a year old and have been laying fine until he got a Rooster. Since then we have gotten an egg that was alittle bigger than a robins egg...lol it was cute and now the bloody egg. Just want to make sure they are o.k, My daughter and I love these RIR as they were her 4-H chick chain that we split with my Dad and Mom.
