I’ll try that, in an attempt to catch her now, I lured her into a walled off area that has 9 foot walls, and she flew over them
this may help you catch her.
When a chicken roosts and if it is too dark for safe flight, there is a place between their ankle and knee that if you apply pressure to, there is an involuntary action is to step backwards and grip whatever is behind them. This is how I get the pro tree hugers here out of the trees when and if they won't come down when I call them.
I have what is basically a long broom handle with a T piece on the end. The T piece is a bit over the width of the chickens stance. If you gently push on the back of the shin with this they usually step back and grab it. You then lower the chicken down. It needs to be dark. If it is too light (bright torches, early dusk etc) they will just step back and fly.

Wait until after they go to roost and take her off the roost. One way or another you need to tend that wound. Since she is hard to catch, I think you should keep her confined for a few days while you treat her, in a quiet, warm place. You will want to tend it a couple times a day. You can use peroxide to disinfect it the first time you clean it, but then don't use it again. Just keep it clean with saline solution, betadine or warm water. Keep the veterycin or triple antibiotic ointment on it until it heals. Watch for fly strike!

She does roost with the others in the coop and I seem to be able to see in the dark better than any of my chickens so it won’t be to hard to catch her, once she roosts of course. What is fly strike? Also @Shadrach if you get some fayoumi for free ranging, I would recommend a rooster so they can replace themselves, also my fayoumi is hatchery stock ( from Meyer hatchery ) so if you get them from a breeder they will probably be even more wild.

The Fayoumies will be coming from Morocco, Germany, Algeria and from here where I live.
The rooster to hen ratio will be 1:4 and we will see how that works out. We hope to have a flock of around 400 eventually.

Fly strike is when a fly lays eggs in the wound and those eggs hatch into maggots. She will probably survive the wound, but may not survive maggots. If you see them you need to get them off of her immediately. this is why I recommend keeping her confined. I use a dog crate for this.

Ok, I got her and looked close, and it’s bad, the wattle behind the ear, even though on her it’s not really a wattle, it’s ripped off, and is hanging, I’m not sure what to do
