Bloody vent and trouble walking

Ive done it with cooked... im sure raw would work too. Id also do a heat supplement so she can concentrate on healing and not maintaining her temp. Does she have a fever at all?

I don't think she does. I just tried the Epsom salt bath, and while that helped get her backside cleaned up, the only other thing it seemed to do was wear her out and make her breathing more labored. I also rubbed some VetRX on her beak just in case it's something respiratory. I've got her back in the crate in front of my kitchen window with her vitamin-infused water and a little yogurt. If she perks up anymore, I'll try the egg and applesauce. If not, I'll take her to the vet tomorrow. It's so frustrating when she seems to want to survive.

Well, I honestly thought she would die last night but she didn’t. And my plan to take her to the vet today failed because my vet stopped seeing birds all the sudden. So, I’m not sure what to do now. I can’t find anyone else who can see her today.

You could roll up a towel and use it to create some kind of ring for her to help keep her sitting upright, just like a floating ring.

One of your roosters might have damaged her as they often try to kick each other from the hens when they see their rival mating.

Maybe wait some more days to see if possible swellings subside and she is able to regain her equilibrium.

I think we are beyond that point. She hasn’t stood up in days and has now quit eating.

In case she dies or you decide to put her out of her misery, you could send her in to your state lab for a professional necropsy.

I'm considering it. And I finally found a vet who would see her in the morning. I actually just tried to syringe feed her some egg yolk, and she sort of passed out? She's still breathing, but I don't think she will be for very long. I've got her lying next to an open window so she can at least enjoy some fresh air on her way out. Thanks for everyone's help.

One has to be very careful not to fill up the wrong pipe when syringe feeding.

Thanks, I’ll give that a read. I basically just squirted it onto her beak and let her swallow. I think she’s just so weak. About to go check on her now - been out feeding the rest of the crew.

She just died. Thanks, everyone, for your help. The more I read, the more I think she just had a reproductive defect or was possibly injured by the rooster. But I'm glad she's not suffering anymore.
