I've had a few eggs from some newly adopted girls - that have had blood on them. Is this normal? Should I be worried about the eggs? or the hens?

Is the blood on the outside of the shell? If so I wouldnt worry about it. I've had a few like that. I dont know... someone else might tell ya otherwise.

Yes it is blood on the outside. I'm thinking it's okay, but wanted to check.

my pheasant hen sometimes has bloody smears on the outside of her eggs. She seems healthy though. If its just a tiny bit of blood, I wouldn't worry.

Sounds like point of lay girls you got. Nice! All my new layers have the small smears. Rare to see any anymore, once in a overly large egg now and then.
