Blooie, may I just ask some curiosity questions? Is there a proportion of eggs that is expected not to hatch? Like in a commercial setup, do they allow for a percentage of "non-viables".

Also, when you are hatching eggs, is there an expected proportion of male/female or is it totally random? Like, in a commercial setup, would they be getting 50/50, some other proportion, or is it just "whatever"?

I figure 50% hatch and 50% males/females......but I'm a chick grabber, I open the bator to remove dry chicks and that probably lowers my hatch rate.

Have no idea what commercial expectations/results are.

Nothing chocolate, Blooie, not even one thing???? What about white chocolate???  I can not imagine life w/o chocolate.

Not white or pink or purple or any color!  If there's one part per million of chocolate in something, I can taste it!  Now, you wanna know what's really stupid about that?  I like chocolate pudding and I like hot chocolate.  Nothing else, no way no how.  

Huh... Hot chocolate is the only form I don't like! Gives me a headache every time for some reason.

Nate, I can take some pictures next time I candle if that would help you see what I'm talking about. The 2 Bantams, the Silkie, and the Nankin seem to me to be clear. I am having a really hard time seeing through the Australorp eggs so I'm going on the assumption that all is fine there. And the Easter Egger - good grief~ I think she's trying out for a Chorus Line...she's always dancing in there! Again, let me repeat myself here. You don't have any reason to feel bad here. You donated the eggs, you sent way more than you had to and a good assortment to boot, and you packaged them very well. I'm learning that in the world of shipped eggs, it simply is what it is! So chin up, my friend!! And to be brutally honest, you ain't exactly looking over my shoulder as I try this, so it could well be something I'm doing or not doing, as well.

Having some mild chest discomfort tonight. Had some last night too, but it's nothing to worry about. Got it checked out and it's not unusual for some people to have sporadic chest pain for awhile after stenting. But I think I'm gonna have you guys "watch the fort" <snicker snicker> and go lay down for the night. Catch you all either later tonight if I get to feeling better or tomorrow!

Okay hey all been sick and busy and sick of being sick. Been on an antibiotic all week and if I'm not feeling any better by Monday think I'll be heading back to the doctor. Hoping my bronchitis doesn't turn to pneumonia.

Now as for chocolate I like chocolate but I'm not addicted. I also like hat chocolate not a fan of mocha though and I absolutely hate Hershey's syrup. Idk why but I always have. Chocolate pudding is okay by my but I prefer vanilla or tapioca.
