Bloom on quail eggs

Maybe this is a dumb question, lol.

perverted old me stared at my quail until I got the egg straight from her butt

it was dry

So now I’m wondering whether quail eggs have the same protective layer chicken eggs have? My chickens lay wet eggs, which I presume to then dry to form the bloom on the egg.

Quail lay wet eggs with bloom too. They dry off very quickly, though.

I did that once.. sticky for about 1.5 seconds, then dry.
