I have heavy bloom brown eggs that are having the bloom stripped by the rubber mat in the bottom of the incubator. The eggs are not set to hatch for another 18 days, should I remove the rubber mat until lockdown so that more bloom is not removed or is this ultimately not going to impact the eggs?

I wouldn’t worry about it, I’m guessing it happens to most eggs you’re just noticing it more on your eggs. In a developing egg the immune system and various chemical deterants are actively opposing any potential bacterial invasion. I actually tried very hard to scrub off bloom and incubated eggs and could not induce a bacterial infection, only in cracked eggs have I ever had an issue.
