BLRW 6 weeks old Gender?

Our BLRW are 6 weeks old, I am hoping that one of them is a pullet. I am almost certain that the other is a roo.

Wasabi - Pretty sure this is a roo.

Sasafrass - Hoping this is a pullet

I agree with you, that Wasabi ( I LOVE that name) is a roo & Sassafras is a pullet.

I think you are right about the genders. That is a big difference in their combs.

Agree, one roo(100% positive) and not sure on the other, do you have a better side shot of it? Those darker red/burgundy feathers are the give away for a boy. WE had one we had to give away and it took forever to figure it was a boy.

I'd keep an eye on the second one also.. I have one I just gave away that looked pullet until about 10-12 weeks and the only giveaway was darker feathers showing up here and there. - those darker feathers finally turned into shiny saddle feathers and voila, you have a boy.
