It looks like mottling to me.
There are spots where it overlaps the actual lacing.

Both wyandottes are cockerels.
The pattern on the silver doesn’t look like mottling to me. It looks like juvenile patterning. Here’s a silver duckwing old English game bantam cockerel who had something similar:
