i got this off-brand of blu-kote, the store didn't have the real thing. they said it was the same; it's called blue lotion and comes with a dauber. anyway, is it the same? also, i've been applying it to two of my hens who were attacked by a fox and managed to live! i have them separated from what's left of the flock. how long/often do i apply the stuff to the wounds? they still have a long way to go until they are healed, but i don't know if i am doing harm by continuing to apply the stuff. the bottle says "use daily or more often until healing takes place." does that mean totally healed? should i be using something else with it or instead of it at this point? should i be using it at all on bite wounds? (too late now, i guess...but i could switch)

any info on this would help me! thanks!
