blue acarnas?

there is a guy on Craigslist selling blue arcana chicks .I'm pretty sure they are Easter Eggers but he states they are blue arcanas because he only incubated the blue eggs and this is what hatched.........my question is does this make sense? does the color of the eggshell a sec the chick in any way? I am very new to this and I though it was hogwash but I have been wrong before ........

Well, as there's no breed called arcana, I'm thinking you're correct to call hogwash

I'm guessing he's thinking Ameraucana or Aracauna, but either way it's a pretty sure bet you'll get Easter eggers. EE can lay blue eggs and make lovely backyard birds, but you can't show them. If you just want a nice colorful egg basket and cute birds, go ahead and buy some if the price isn't $$$.

Folks selling real, honest Ameraucana will always say what color they're selling. Wheaton, Black, etc. That holds for pretty much any pure bred bird. Color is pretty much always listed as it's important to type.

the color of the shell has nothing to do with the color or breed of bird you could just breed easter eggers that lay green eggs but all you will end up with is easter eggers that only lay green eggs so no those are not true aracaunas (don't think i spelled it right

)true aracaunas lay blue eggs and are tailess i believe so no i don't think buying those would be a good idea
