Blue americana eggs? (PIC ADDED)

$28 in all. So, now I had 21 eggs to try to hatch (I can't just not try kwim?) but the chicks from these eggs were going to my neighbor once fully feathered, and I'll need to let her know they aren't true A's. I'm sure they will be lovely, but still not what I paid for.

I would let the seller know that the eggs were not what you bid because the title was wrong. Next I would file a claim with ebay. Might get some of your money back.

What color "Ameraucanas" did they say they were selling? and Thats alot of eggs for 28$ total including shipping. Typically you'd pay twice that much for pure ones...They will still produce pretty chicks though! incubate away.

Can somebody tell me what kind of bird that is? I have one that's nearly identical and was told it was a Cochin/Ameraucana mix.

I know! Two of my EE's lay lovely blue eggs. When the first of them laid a blue/green, I was thrilled. I didn't really care what the others laid, but they all lay in the blue/green range so I consider myself lucky.

When mine started laying I knew they would be blue and they are, they range from a very light blue to a darker turquoise blue. But now the multi color egg bug has bitten me and I want olives and the dark browns too. LOL Horrible how that chicken math starts creeping into the egg color selection too.

He's an EE, which is a cross breed.

You also have to watch the spelling. Hatcheries will spell Americana with an I. It's still an Easter Egger. Confusing I know, that's partially why it's such a heated topic here. Pure Ameraucana's (no I) only come from a breeder and only come in these colors:

Well. This got me to thinking about 2 of our new hens. And after comparing pics I realize I too have EE's and not Ameraucana's. Lol.
