Blue Andalusian Comb Growth

Sorry I don't have pictures but will try to get some and post them soon. Right now I have 25 pullets of which 5 are supposed to be Blue Andalusian. Four of them are developing into very pretty slate grey/blue color and have only just started developing combs. The fifth is almost a solid blue/black and has begun developing a very noticeable and large comb. They are only 5 weeks old so I know it is hard to tell for sure. But, I am suspecting that the 5th is actually a cockerel. Does the rooster develop a larger comb earlier than the females?

Mine grew huge combs very quickly. One's grew bigger than the other's, though, and is still much bigger years later. They grow like roo combs, kind of scary.

Well, he is a he!!! This a.m. when I let everyone out he took one look at the sun rising and let loose with a couple of really nice in tune cock-a-doodle-dos. I have been assuming he is a Blue Andalusian due mainly to his leg color and the fact that I ordered 5 of each of my breeds and everyone else is accounted for. But, any guesses as to what he may be are welcome. He is the only rooster in a flock of 24 hens...will this be a problem...will he burn himself out?

He is the black one in the middle with the crop and wattles. Sorry the pictures are not better.

Will have to change everything now to say 24 hens and 1 rooster, six ducks, three geese, eight dogs my partner and me at http://moran-newman-farms.blogspot.com/ Moran-Newman Farms.

He's beautiful! I'm new to chicken raising myself, so I can't help much with your other questions, but he looks like my Roxy and she's an Austrolorp. Their feathers look iridescent in the sunlight.

He is an Andalusian cockerel--the light, slim body and the white earlobe are the giveaways.

He won't burn himself out, but he'll be one very, very happy young man here in a few months

Updating a picture of "Little Dude" my Blue Andalusian (black) hen that turned into a rooster. He is a very lucky guy, the only male with 24 beautiful hens. However, he does have his hands (wings) full and can not seem to keep any sense of order in his flock. He has his crowing down to a science now and really does a great job.
